A History of Video Games in 64 Objects 📕Review

I have a huge pipe dream goal of getting my forever in-progress original novel published someday. Unfortunately, I haven’t been much of a reader for most of my life. I’m improving my reading skill in order to level up my novel writing ability, and also trying to write book reviews for the things I read these days. This is one of my book review thingys… enjoy!

Things on the XIIIth: January 2019

Welcome to my monthly progress post that happens on the 13th, which marks the start of a new fiscal month here on Livid Lightning. Get it? XIII is my favourite number… because I like Final Fantasy XIII a lot? Jeez… tough crowd.

Hello, 2019. You have no idea how happy I am to see 2018 go away… I’ve sadly read that A LOT of people in this community had a crappy 2018. Here’s to hoping this year is a lot better for everyone!

home sweet middle of nowhere
I had a week and a half off for Christmas. I spent 5 days at my parents house in the middle of nowhere (as evidenced in this photo). It was cool that we got a light dusting of snow on Christmas day.

Oh and this update post is going to be kinda half last year, half this year due to my weird fiscal month schedule thingy. You’ll see what I mean. Let’s do this!

Oh. My. Maker. It’s the last freaking month of 2018, and that merry Christmas thing is, like, 12 days away… wow. 2018 has been one of the hardest years of my life so I’m definitely not sorry to see it go. Very much looking forward to a new year, and hopefully a new beginning! I got this.

Alberta Trip
Oh, and work sent me to Alberta again. It takes about 3 plane transfers over 12 hours to get there from NS. This epic moment descending into the clouds was almost worth it!

Things on the XIIIth: October 2018

Hello, internet! Welcome to my monthly progress post that happens on the 13th, which marks the start of a new fiscal month here on Livid Lightning. Hard to believe we’re almost halfway through the spooky month of October, eh? And damn, A LOT of people sure get creative with amusing Twitter names and such. Alas, I tried really hard to come up with something creatively creepy, but my brain just couldn’t think of anything cool. A huge shout-out to Lodestar Valor (or should I say @LodesOfScare_Valor) for suggesting this:

Things on the XIIIth October 2018 1

Personal health problem wise, not much has changed since last month. I’m still anxiously awaiting a diagnosis from my country’s incredibly slow-ass healthcare system (at least if you live in one of the “poor” provinces of Canada), while hoping symptom progression is all in my imagination. Next up, I have to get one of those dreaded spinal tap tests done in a few weeks… and well, that test sounds like it really sucks. At least it should tell my neurologist with 95% accuracy if I have the sorta scary thing they think I might possibly have. Only took a few weeks to get an appointment with that neurologist too, by the way.

Yeah… I’ve been pretty moody, and way more withdrawn than usual in real life, so thank you very much for being supportive and distracting, internet world. Enough babbling about my problems, eh! Life’s short and we all must conquer those obstacles we come across, no matter how impossible they may seem to overcome. On October 22nd, work is also sending me to the Western Canadian province of Alberta for a week, and as much as I’m not looking forward to flying and 10 hour travel days, it’ll be nice to get a change of real world scenery.

Anyway, here’s the gist of what I’ve been up to lately!
