Icefall (Book 1) 📕Review

I have a huge pipe dream goal of getting my forever in-progress original novel published someday. Unfortunately, I haven’t been much of a reader for most of my life. I’m improving my reading skill in order to level up my novel writing ability, and also trying to write book reviews for the things I read these days. This is one of my novel review thingys… enjoy!

A post-apocalyptic YA tale with no shoehorned romances? Well, gee, sign me right up! One of my biggest issues with novels classified as YA is that a stupid romance (or awful love triangle) seems to be required, thus creating awful relationships between characters that make me eye roll so damn hard. There’s none of that crap in Icefall and lots of action scenes. Both huge reasons why I enjoyed it!

Mass Effect Minutes (Part 2)

Welcome to Part 2 of my Mass Effect babblethrough series! You can check out Part 1 here, if you want, but the TL;DR version is after exploring the Citadel for first time, I just legally gained control of the Normandy at the expense of poor Captain Anderson (galactic politics at its finest). The game gives you lots of freedom on what order to do things in, so my next mission is Priority: Liara T’Soni. Even before I knew anything about Liara, I had a strong feeling she was going to be my favourite Mass Effect companion… Ali Hillis voiced characters for the win!!
