Life Is Strange – Episode 4: Dark Room

Welcome to Part 4 of my Life Is Strange Babblethrough series of posts!

You know that age old advice that says if you find yourself in the past don’t touch anything, else you could change the future in ways you can’t even begin imagine? Yeah. That’s good advice! The plot twists and chills are strong in this one, my friends.

!!!MAJOR FREAKING SPOILER WARNING!!! This is one of those games where the less you know the better. I’m about to ruin everything by summarizing it so STOP AND READ NO MORE, if you have plans to play this someday. You have been warned.

Life Is Strange – Episode 3: Chaos Theory

Welcome to Part 3 of my Life Is Strange babblethrough series of posts!

After the end of the last episode, damn, the feels were strong and I was truly hooked on this game. This is definitely the most lighthearted episode, in my opinion, focusing on developing the beautiful BFF bond between Max and Chloe. Max’s powers also get some leveling up… for better or worse.

Life Is Strange – Episode 2: Out of Time

Welcome to Part 2 of my Life Is Strange Babblethrough series! You can check out the first post here if ya missed it and are interested in reading it. Thanks! 🙂

The teenage drama and time manipulation continues. This episode deals with some pretty heavy subject material so reader discretion is certainly advised in addition to the usual spoiler warnings.

Seriously… if you ever feel worthless, hopeless, helpless, and just generally tired of living your life, you are not alone. I know. It’s so hard to reach out for help when you’re in a bad place (like seemingly at the end of your road), but you are a wonderful human being who deserves to fight and live on. Call one of the numbers found here if you are struggling to find the will to keep going. They can help you! You got this life thing.

Life Is Strange – Episode 1: Chrysalis

Welcome to Part 1 of my babblethrough post series for Life Is Strange!

Way back in February of this year, I had the pleasure of playing and Platinuming this game in a single weekend. Such an amazing story delivery… I just couldn’t put it down.

Presently, the writing about games mood has sorta struck me again. Woot! I’ve been working on a review for this game and I noticed my summary section was growing way out of word count control. I figured this special game certainly deserves the proper LightningEllen babblethrough treatment so here we are. This post will cover what I want to remember from Episode 1.

My First Hour In Post-Apocalyptic Boston

Caution – This post contains spoilers for the beginnings of Fallout 4. Some people like going into games knowing as little as possible (like me) so just thought I’d give you fair warning!

Wannabe Writer’s Note: This first impressions article was originally posted on my old website on February 27, 2016. Enjoy my past self’s unedited ramblings! I STILL haven’t found time to finish the game yet…

Fallout 4 Impressions 1

After having it since launch day, I’ve finally cracked the seal on my Pip Boy Edition of Fallout 4. It took a bit of time before the game fully installed on my PS4, but Bethesda included some hilarious “educational” videos to help pleasantly pass the time.

Falling Off Buildings & Running From Blues

Caution – This post contains spoilers for the beginnings of Mirror’s Edge. Some people like going into games knowing as little as possible (like me) so just thought I’d give you fair warning!

Mirror's Edge Impressions 1

I was innocently cruising a local game store’s website when suddenly, a cool Collector’s Edition of a game series I’ve vaguely heard of catches my eye. Said Collector’s Edition includes an awesome statue of the main character (my swag addiction is a curse). The game is Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, and it’s coming out June 7th. I look more into the series and apparently the first game, Mirror’s Edge, is suppose to be a masterpiece that I’ve missed out on. A few minutes later, I’ve ordered a copy from eBay. It arrived in the mail yesterday and I dusted off my Xbox 360 to start it today.

Path of the Grey Warden 9: Originated

Wannabe Writer’s Note: This is the re-posting of the Dragon Age Origins babblethrough series I did on my old website. This article was originally posted on December 25, 2017. Enjoy past me’s unedited ramblings!

This is it! My 9th and final progress babbling post for the Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition. I can’t believe I actually stuck with something I said I was going to do… wow. Anyway, Grey Warden Ellen’s epic journey wrapped up with the Golems of Amgarrak DLC. However, I made a little side objective for myself before calling it a game – see the other 5 Grey Warden beginnings.

You know what? I think this is why the game has the word Origins in its title! There is a total of 6 different ways to start the game, depending on the race/background you choose. Each offers a completely different story, but they all tie together and branch out into the overall world beautifully.

!!!SPOILERS AHEAD!!! DO NOT read anything else unless you want this great game ruined… I’m serious.
