Ho, ho, ho, internet!
Last year, the amazing Kim of Later Levels created this awesome Christmas community collaboration event thingy. I was so totally in, then I deleted my old website earlier this year, erasing my old entries of the interwebz forever. Alas!
Basically, there were 12 holiday themed questions bloggers answered on set days, in a format of their own choosing. Yep. I’m still trying to get back in touch with my joyful side after 2018’s craziness… so I’m hyping myself up for that upcoming cheery Christmas event by re-posting my old answers and providing new answers for this year. I’ve changed a lot, man.
The presents have been opened and dinner has been eaten, so you’ve got a bit of time for gaming while Gran is snoozing on the sofa. What’s the best video game to play during the holidays?
I think World of Warcraft is a superb game to play during the holidays, especially if you want to escape reality. I haven’t been to Azeroth in over two years, but I have fond memories of opening presents under Great Father Winter’s tree this time of year. I… can’t… go… back…
Oh… I still miss World of Warcraft… Be strong, Ellen! Ahem.
The best game to play during the holidays depends on how you spend the holidays, I think. I always visit my parents in the middle of nowhere for a few days so I like to take something that’s easily portable.
This year I intend to put a dent in the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on my Switch. I keep complaining that it’s not my cup of Zelda, but there are enough redeeming qualities that make me wanna finish it (my goal is to get all the Divine Beasts and pwn Ganon, ignoring most side activities). With all the holiday cheer and good food around, I think I’ll have fun with the game over Christmas! It just lacks that special Zelda magic feeling I was expecting the game to give me.
